Ririe River Island (Twin Bridges)
- Island, bunkers, trenches
- Late summer into fall only
- Free to play
An island in the South Fork of the Snake River, right next to the Twin Bridges campground south of Rexburg. Players have been building on it for years, so you show up to a field that already has bunkers and dug-in positions.
The water all the way around makes the boundary. If someone runs out of bounds, everyone will know, because they'll be wet.
How it plays
A fence runs along the north end. Trenches line the east and west edges. That shape pushes the game end to end, with one team starting at each end of the island and the middle up for grabs.
The bunkers are big piles of stacked logs and branches, a few of them hollowed out enough to crouch inside. There are dug foxholes in the grass too. The trees are spaced out enough to run between but close enough to break up long shots.
Before you play
During spring runoff the river is fast and cold and the trenches fill with water. Don't try to cross until the water is down.
You park in the campground, and there is no shooting in the campground. Keep the game on the island.

Getting there
Drive to the Twin Bridges campground and park there. To get onto the island you hop across on the rocks. At low water in late summer it's an easy step-across. Bring a dry bag for anything you don't want soaked in case someone slips.

When to go
Late summer into fall only. Before the water drops, pick a different field.
Leave it like you found it
Pack out your trash, pods and CO2 cartridges included. Don't shoot signs, fences or anything else that's built here, and don't drag in junk for cover. Watch what's behind your target and leave the wildlife alone.
